Shouldn’t we have an in-house CFO?

At a point, you should. But if you're in growth mode, it may be advantageous to engage the most senior talent possible on a fractional basis, rather than hiring a more junior person full time. You need senior, seasoned thinkers more than ever, but you don't need the financial burden of a full-time senior CFO.

What about my bookkeeper?

Think of us as your bookkeeper's new best friend. We'll work together with them to dive deep into your numbers, uncover hidden growth potential, and make sure every dollar counts.  (And don't worry, we'll gently nudge them towards the 21st century if needed.)

I’m nervous about giving up control.

You aren't giving up any control. Like any good business partner, our job is to take on the jobs that aren't in your zone of expertise - so you can focus on what you do best. Our clients normally reflect back that their experience working with us creates a feeling of freedom, not anxiety.

How long do engagements last?

When your company attains a certain size and level of sophistication, you'll be ready for a full-time CFO. As our clients attest, we will be the first to let you know when you've crossed that threshold.

Are you accountable?

Why are you fractional?

We enjoy the variety of working with multiple clients. And being fractional allows us to target clients who need specifically what our expertise provides.

Do you make me sign a binding contract?

Yes and no. Our governing bodies require us to have our clients sign Engagement Letters. These agreements confirm our confidentiality and allow our clients to cancel the engagement with written notice. You are not locked in! We know our service is why you will continue working with us.
